Taking to a festival…

What you take with you to a festival depends on what kind of festival it is and whether you're going for one or multiple days. If you're going for just one day you won't need a tent, but for multiple days you'll obviously need more. For a day at a festival, think about comfortable clothing, a cap or hat to protect you from the sun, sunscreen, and a poncho. After all, it can suddenly rain in the Netherlands and you need to be prepared for that too. Don't forget your camera or phone, your ticket which you obtained with the Festival Gift Card, and then you're ready to go!

A lovely day out!

An open-air festival is the best thing there is, when the weather is nice, of course! You'll then take a backpack, maybe a bum bag, and if possible a cool bag and a picnic blanket. You can divide everything you want to take with your friends so that no one has to carry too much. Also think about drinks and some food, as these are very expensive on the festival grounds. If you want to save money, this is one way to do it! Choose a nice spot so you can hear everything well and you can also have a nice sit down (because a day at a festival can be very tiring, especially if you're going to be dancing, singing, and jumping all day).

What else is good to take to a festival?

The music is very loud on a festival site, so festival earplugs are a really good choice. But also think about sunscreen and insect repellent. Hand sanitiser gel is also not an unnecessary luxury, and if you're going for multiple days it's certainly wise to take toilet paper with you too. At the start of the day there will be plenty, but after a while it can run out, and then it's quite nice if you have some yourself (or just some wet wipes).

A multi-day festival?

If you're planning to visit a multi-day festival, then you'll naturally need to take more with you. Usually you'll have a ticket for a whole weekend, for example, and you'll choose a place to sleep somewhere nearby or on the festival site. You'll need a tent, but also a good sleeping bag and then a sleeping mat, for instance. A warm jumper is also wise, as it can suddenly get cold quickly. Make sure you also have a torch for if you need to go to the toilet at night, for example.

You'll figure out what you need to take with you, but what is important in any case is that you have your ticket with you, your phone, ID, money, and sunscreen, and if they're predicting rain, a poncho too. Above all, enjoy the moment because it will be truly enjoyable!
